An automated system of customs and tax administration "ASTANA-1" was launched in the capital

Operation of the new system will begin in pilot mode, and the first of its users will be the twenty participants of foreign economic activity. The process is accompanied by UN experts, working in Astana, 24/7, and conducting user training.

Implementation of the system in the first place, aimed at simplifying the procedures for traders. The system is based on WTO rules and fully in line with international standards, including features such as self-registration, remote e-declaration, paperless supporting documents, electronic payments, a choice of a customs post and the placement of the goods", - said at the launching ceremony of the project, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance Gosman Amrin.

It is expected that, in parallel with the introduction of the basic functions of the system (export / import) will also be implemented integrated modules of "Astana-1" – transit, special customs procedures, post-audit, warehouse management. Gosman Amrin assured that it "does not require any additional burden in the form of purchase of special software", "the system allows easy access even from a computer, without leaving your home or office". Representatives of fiscal authorities can work in remote mode.

"For us, the system will allow to check declarants through taxpayers' data bases, manage risks, implement an integrated customs transit control in real-time, monitoring of revenue, as well as the fight against corruption, smuggling, counterfeiting and other offenses at customs", - added Mr. Amrein.

The Finance Ministry expect that in September of this year, "Astana-1" will cover such large areas of customs clearance, as the departments of public revenues in the city of Almaty and Almaty region. Full implementation of the system in Kazakhstan is scheduled for July 1, 2017.
