Companies, subject to bankruptcy, have the highest amount of wage debts

Salaries in the amount of nearly a trillion tenge remains unpaid for workers of bankrupt companies. "Today the country wage arrears is 1 billion 472 million tenge. The biggest debt of the bankrupt companies is - 978 million tenge, there are 80 of them in the country and they have a debt to 3 thousand workers", - said at a briefing at the Service of Central Communications by Vice-Minister for Health and Social Development and Birzhan Nurymbetov.

He noted that the "debt repayment procedure is carried out in accordance with the law "On Bankruptcy" in the process of sale of liquid assets of the company.

In addition, added B. Nurymbetov, there is also current and overdue indebtedness.

"The current debt up to three months stands at 410 million for 29 companies, and overdue indebtedness – includes debts for more than three months. It is 85 million for 9 enterprises", - said Deputy Minister.

Pointing to the regions with the largest size of the debt, Birzhan Nurymbetov named the East Kazakhstan region - 92 million and the Karaganda region - 70 million tenge. The biggest delay in the payment of wages made in the Mangistau region - 23 million, Karaganda - 16.7 million tenge.

According to the Vice Minister, the average wage in Kazakhstan is 133 thousand tenge, the highest wages are observed in the field of professional scientific and technical activities -... 298 thousand tenge, financial and insurance activities -249 thousand tenge, and the third takes the manufacturing industry - 182 thousand tenge..

"Traditionally western Kazakhstan - Mangystau and Atyrau regions, as well as Almaty have the higher wages", - stated the Deputy Minister.
