In Almaty was held a regular meeting of the Committee on monitoring of the local content in the procurement of state bodies, national companies and enterprises with the participation of the territorial health, construction and education departments. The event was attended by representatives of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty, local executive bodies and domestic producers.

"Since the beginning of the year there were held seven meetings in the areas of health, energy and utilities, construction, education, natural resources, agriculture and IT-technologies, which involved more than 600 domestic manufacturers, government agencies and national companies. Given that the issue of increasing the share of Kazakh content is a priority, Almaty Chamber of Entrepreneurs and members of the Commission within its competencies will control the process to load to the maximum the domestic enterprises", - said the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Yuri Tleumuratov.

"The Commission carried out monitoring of procurements of public agencies in the current year. In the first half, the proportion of local content in Almaty increased by 28.1% and reached 56.1% compared to 2015. Significant changes in the rate observed in the field of education. For example, in 2015 the share of Kazakh content in procurement for kindergartens and schools was 46%, since the beginning of the current year - 87.8%", - said the head of the Department of entrepreneurship and industrial-innovative development of Almaty Almas Madiev.

At the end of the meeting was held a discussion of systemic issues, where domestic producers have voiced their suggestions on how to improve the procurement process.
