Kazakhstan - Hong Kong: new prospects for cooperation
The delegation headed by Financial Secretary of the Special Administrative Region "Hong Kong" John Tsang visited Kazakhstan
The purpose of the visit - is to explore the possibilities of business cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong in the framework of the initiative "One Belt One Road". To do this, at the hotel "Marriott Astana" was held a business lunch, organized by the Council of Hong Kong Trade Development (Hong Kong Trade Development Council) with the assistance of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken", the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Astana and Kazakhstan's Chamber of Commerce.
The Hong Kong side was represented by the biggest businessmen in the field of finance, law, consulting and construction. The Kazakh side was represented by the manager of an international financial center "Astana" Kayrat Kelimbetov, representatives of national companies, financial institutions, trade unions, as well as private entrepreneurs.
Speaking at a dinner with representatives of Kazakhstan's business, John Tsang presented the advantages of doing business in Hong Kong and talked about professional financial, legal and consulting services that can provide Hong Kong counterparts. He said he hoped to increase the number of companies from Kazakhstan, who want to invest or to create new companies in Hong Kong.
Kayrat Kelembetov, in turn, in his speech reflected the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan as well as the prospects for transformation of Astana in the main financial hub of Central Asia.
