The Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty is establishing international connections for business
During the week the leadership of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty hosted several foreign delegations. Representatives of the private medical centers in Taiwan have offered their services to Kazakh colleagues on training and advanced training of doctors, the opening of joint health centers and branches of Taiwanese clinics in Almaty. The experience of foreign colleagues can be very useful for Kazakh doctors. Since 2017 the country introduced compulsory health insurance, and health care in Taiwan is recognized as one of the best in the world, thanks to medical insurance.
As it was noted by the general director of the International Medical Service Center in Taiwan, Mr. Chia Chu Yun, health insurance covers more than 90% of all possible expenditure on medical services, except for expensive cosmetic surgery. The service is very popular in the country, covering about 97% of the total population. Compulsory health insurance is fairly cheap for residents of Taiwan. The guests noted that the state allocates the same amount of funds for both private and public hospitals, and in such a competitive environment will only benefit a patient.
Today in Almaty operate34 private medical centers. With the introduction of compulsory health insurance, business in the health sector will have more opportunities.
