This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC" Astana EXPO-2017" Erbol Shormanov at the Kazakh-Chinese tourism forum in Astana, organized by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of RK "Atameken".

"Today is the active phase of preparation for the exhibition. Until the end of October this year, we will nearly complete the construction of all facilities, and in fact will be open it to all participating countries so that they came to Kazakhstan and start preparation of their pavilions", - said Shormanov.

According to him, currently, 103 countries and 17 international organizations have officially confirmed their participation in the exhibition.

"In total, we expect about 5 million visitors. It is important for us that the bulk of visitors are our compatriots. We expect that they will be about 85%, 15% - foreign ones", - said the representative of the national company.

Shormanov said that within 90 days only on the territory of the Expo will be held about 3 thousand events. In addition, about 3 thousand events will also be held at the city. "That is, during these days Astana will become a major cultural venue. It should attract the attention of many tourists. It is planned to hold the National Day of China on 5^th of July 2017. This date was agreed with the Commissioner of China", - he added.

Erbol Shormanov noted that "Astana EXPO" would like to see Chinese companies among the partners of the exhibition. "Essentially, the exhibition has a huge economic, scientific and technical potential. We are open to cooperation, so we invite the Chinese business community to cooperation", - he said.

Speaking about the portrait of Chinese tourists, a representative of the national company said that 4 out of 5 travelers are choosing journey online. Therefore, great importance is given to the promotion of the exhibition online. Negotiations are underway with the largest Internet portals of China.

He also said that since July 10, opened the official sales of tourist companies, which present the opportunity to purchase tickets at preferential conditions. Today we signed 5 agreements with Kazakhstani companies for the purchase of 74 thousand tickets by assigning the status of the official tour operator of EXPO-2017.

"We formed a roster of the 70 tourist routes that will be brought to the attention of foreign visitors: it is an eco-tour to 12 national parks of the country, and visit to historical and cultural sites, as well as a special tour - watching the launch of a rocket at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, etc.", - added Shormanov.
