Tax breaks for 10 years and support for projects is promised to the Hungarian businessmen in Almaty

Almaty Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce held an international business forum

Heads of 23 Hungarian companies came to Kazakhstan in search of new business partners. Delegation was headed by the Minister of National Economy of Hungary Mihaly Varga. Guests are interested in cooperation in agriculture, pharmaceutical industry, energy, tourism, construction and engineering services, mechanical engineering. It is worth noting, Hungary considers Kazakhstan as a strategic partner in Central Asia.

The city authorities have noted that the interesting projects may be eligible for tax breaks for up to 10 years and even on a special support. And Kazakhstan's membership in EAEU opens the possibility of entering the market with a population of 170 million people.

 "Almaty – is the financial center of the region. 40% of all goods imported into Kazakhstan, pass through our city. Megapolis provides almost 30% of revenues to the national budget, and all taxes on businesses. According to the international rating Doing Business, Almaty occupies 41st place among 189 countries. These index shows how the country has created favorable conditions for business development. In support of business, we are ahead of such countries as, for example, Italy and Israel. This rating is compiled by the data of Almaty. Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty invited to today’s forum representatives of 80 local companies. All of them are ready for fruitful cooperation", - he said at the meeting the chairman of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Yerlan Stambekov.

During the bilateral meeting was signed a memorandum of cooperation and understanding. Hungarian and Kazakh companies have agreed on the supply of laboratory and diagnostic equipment. In 2015 the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Hungary amounted to about 147 million euros.
