Kazpost and NCE "Atameken" offer new opportunities for entrepreneurs
At the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" was held a presentation of the new service “SALEM, MOBILE!” for processing payments for goods and services
This service, introduced by "Kazpost" for entrepreneurs, will significantly reduce the purchase price of expensive equipment (POS-terminals), payment for Internet to make payments, etc. The money spent on the payments are transferred to the account opened at JSC "Kazpost", or to the account in any bank of Kazakhstan with a help of a mobile phone.
“SALEM, MOBILE!” - these are payments for goods and services by sending USSD-command *499 # from a mobile phone of a consumer. Money is debited to the account of the supplier from the buyer’s payment card, which is linked to a number of his mobile phone. Convenience for the customer is that he can pay for for goods and services without internet access and there is no need to carry a debit card. To make payments the customers can once register a card (bank card of any bank) at www.post.kz.
Deputy Chairman of NCE RK "Atameken" Murat Abenov noted that this innovation will be a good help for small and medium-sized businesses, an alternative method of payment charges, because they often do not have the opportunity to acquire POST-terminals to make payments due to their high cost. "One of the best options, especially in rural areas, where the most acute problem with payments, “SALEM, MOBILE!” is a new service, which is precisely focused on small and medium-sized businesses. A new kind of service it will greatly reduce the purchase of expensive equipment costs", - said Murat Abenov.
Entrepreneurs can activate the service in any regional branch of JSC "Kazpost". The application will be processed within 10 working days, after which issued a certificate confirming the fact of service activation. It is also possible to apply at website www.post.kz (section “SALEM, MOBILE!”) and salem-mobile.kz.
It is worth noting that the USSD-commands are available on a cellular network, which allows payment cards, even in remote villages, where there is no internet. The first new service “SALEM, MOBILE!” was presented in a rural shop in Shortandy of Akmola region. Now the service is available to businesses and the population of any city and village in Kazakhstan.
From 1st of January 2016, according to the Law of RK "On payments and payment systems", individual entrepreneurs and legal entities are obliged to install in areas of their activities the equipment (devices) intended to receive payments using payment cards and take payments using payment cards.
