Touristic Kazakhstan is interesting to China
Kazakhstan and China will continue to improve conditions for tourists of two countries in the framework of the China Tourism Year in Kazakhstan and the Year of Kazakhstan's tourism in China in 2017
The parties agreed on this during the International Travel Mart International Travel Fair 2016 (ITMTF 2016) in China.
A joint national stand represented the regions of Kazakhstan and major tour operating companies at the exhibition, during which were presented the tourist service of our country, as well as the potential of participation and cooperation in the framework of the International Exhibition “Astana EXPO 2017”.
Such domestic companies as LLP “KazAllianceGroup”, “Explore Central Asia LTD”, “Sky Way Travel”, “TuranAsia LLP”, “Meruert Sayakhat”, “ABDI travel”, “Touroperator Kompas”, “Travel and MICE”, “Uni tour”, “Complete service”, “Keruen”, tour operator "Asia the Discovery", "Arnai tour" presented its tourist products at the exhibition.
Within the frames of the exhibition CITM, the Director of the Department for Investment and Development of the Ministry of tourism industry of Kazakhstan Marat Yigaliev held meetings with representatives of the State Tourism Administration of the PRC. According to its results, the parties agreed to continue deepening practical cooperation, to improve conditions for tourists and the extension of cooperation in the framework of the China Tourism Year and the Year of Kazakhstan in Kazakhstan's tourism in China in 2017.
"Today in the world there is a serious struggle for the Chinese tourists, because every tenth tourist in the world is Chinese. In 2015, the number of Chinese who went abroad exceeded 120 million, and the total volume of consumption of Chinese tourists abroad exceeded 200 billion USD. Therefore, all large country tourist industry players came to the richest Chinese city with a population of nearly 25 million people. Interest to Kazakhstan is very big. Tourists from affluent southern Chinese regions have very little knowledge about our country. Therefore, the Department of Tourism Industry of the Ministry for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan in cooperation with tour operators and businesses headed by NCE RK "Atameken" presented the tourist potential of the republic at the exhibition. As part of 2017- The Year of Tourism of Kazakhstan in China, together with other government agencies, we plan to hold a series of activities to promote Kazakhstan in China", - said Marat Yigaliev.
During CITM Chinese travel companies and tourists have shown great interest to the exhibition EXPO-2017, which will be held in Astana. Visitors were interested in the cost of tickets and ticket operators in approved tourist routes.
CITM – is the largest professional tourist exhibition in Asia, which is held annually in China in the cities of Shanghai and Kunming successively. This year it was held in the complex “Shanghai New International Expo Centre” in the area of 65 thousand square meters. It was attended by more than 400 international participants - it is the public authorities, tourism associations, travel agencies, airlines, hotels, resorts, exhibition centers, a total of 600 delegations and more than 100 thousand visitors.

According to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, in 2015, in total, 118,321 visas were issued to citizens of the PRC. Out of these, 83 thousand 358 visas, i.e. more than 70% were given to the ethnic Kazakhs, who live in China. 19 thousand business visas, 10,000 work visas, 4,600 travel visas and 173 study visas.
86 203 visas were issued during the first 9 months of 2016, of which 58,474, or about 68%, given to ethnic Kazakhs living in China. More than 15 thousand business visas were issued, over 6000 work visas, 5000 travel visas and 299 study visas, 322 service visas, 23 investment visas and 56 transit visas.
The participation of Kazakhstan delegation at the event was organized by Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan together with the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and the Department of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan.
