Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan in the framework of the implementation of the ATA Carnet procedure in the Republic of Kazakhstan on 23rd of January 2017 became a member of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce)

International Chamber of Commerce – is an independent self-governing non-profit international organization created in 1919, it brings together chambers of commerce, business organizations and individual companies to develop international trade standards and joint protection of the interests in international organizations, commercial dispute resolution.

Among the documents issued by ICC - "Incoterms" (unified trade terms), 600 UCP (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits), arbitration rules, standard international contracts, which are periodically reviewed by the members of the Commission for amendments thereto, taking into account the realities of the member-states of ICC.

The main body for resolution of disputes, acting under ICC – is International Court of Arbitration. The Chamber, being a voluntary business associations, as opposed to inter-state associations, regulating commerce, such as the World Trade Organization, the Economic and Social Council, the Customs Union does not fulfill regulatory functions, but only produces a single mechanism and rules for all entities - parties and settle disputes under the developed regulations.

At the same time ICC is a recognized collective advisory body to the WTO, the World Bank and other international organizations, and in 2016 - an official observer at the UN General Assembly, thus providing a mechanism for taking into account the interests of the business community at international processes.

It was founded in 1920. Headquarters are in Paris.
