In Almaty was held a general meeting of the members of the AFK, the highest authorized body of the Association, at which was approved the new composition of the Board of the Association

AFK members voted for termination of the powers of Magzhan Auezov as Chairman of the Board of the AFK in connection with his appointment as chairman of the board of Forte Bank. The meeting expressed gratitude to Auezov for his contribution to the development of the financial sector and maintenance of constructive cooperation between the financial sector and the state.

By unanimous decision of the General Meeting of the Members of the AFK, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Yuliya Yakupbaeva was appointed to the position of the Acting Chairman of the Board of AFK.

Yu. Yakupbaeva has higher economic education, she graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management with a degree in "Finance and credit". For nineteen years of work experience Yuliya Yakupbaeva has turned from a specialist to senior manager. In different years she worked at the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the AFK, NEPK "Union" Atameken", was a member of the supervisory and public boards of several companies (JSC "NATR", EXPO-2017, ENPF, etc.). She is a member of the Board of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition of the Ministry of National Economy. She conducts an active public work. She has a number of state and public awards.

As a member of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" Yuliya Yakupbaeva oversees banking matters, securities market, insurance, denationalization, privatization and PPP development, financial support to entrepreneurs, tariff and competition.

Yuliya Yakupbaeva plans to combine her duties as an acting chairman of the Board of AFK with the current position of the member of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken", which will undoubtedly help to strengthen customer focus, increased efficiency and effectiveness of the development of products and strategic decision-making on the problems of the financial sector of Kazakhstan, as well as the deepening of cooperation of financial institutions with actors of the real economy.

 It is noteworthy that the Yulia Yakupbaevoy became the first woman to head the Board of the AFK during the almost twenty-year history of the association.
