The problems of the economy: experts in an open access
The best experts of the country discuss the further steps of increasing economic activity
The first open expert platform will engage in discussion of the further modernization of the economy in the new reality.
The Expert Council on the Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, created by the decree of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 6th of December 2016, is an advisory body with the aim of developing recommendations and proposals on the development of the country's economy.
The Council includes well-known economists, public figures, heads of national companies - Yeldar Abdrazakov, Zharas Akhmetov, Anuar Buranbaev, Erbolat Dosayev, Zhannat Ertlesova, Oraz Zhandosov, Kayrat Kelimbetov, Yerlan Karin, Zhaksylyk Kulekeev, Ablay Myrzakhmetov, Meruert Makhmutova, Serzhan Madiyev, Olzhas Khudaibergenov, Umut Shayakhmetova, Aset Igroliev.
The activities of the Council cover a wide range of issues of economic development of the country. The role of public figures and professionals in discussing and formulating proposals on various development issues that will take into account financial forecasts, changes in the market taking into account the opinion of the population and consolidation of positions is very important.
The Expert Council meets once a month to discuss the most pressing issues. As of March this year, 3 meetings have already been held. Topics discussed were the improvement of the banking system, the competitiveness of key sectors of the economy, the development of state regional policy and the development of the labor market. As a result of the discussions, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev gives specific instructions to the relevant state bodies on further work.
The work of the Council will be covered on the websites of the Scientific and Production Enterprise "Atameken" www.palata.kz and the Association of Economists of Kazakhstan www.economist.kz on an ongoing basis. Information on the activities of the Council will be open to the public.
