NCE RK "Atameken" and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan signed an agreement on cooperation. Following the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan, a number of documents were adopted. One of them was an agreement on cooperation between the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev outlined the issues of bilateral cooperation during the meeting, and drew attention to the importance of the visit for the successful development of bilateral relations in the current difficult period in the world economy and politics. In turn, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov noted the growing role of joint projects in the trade-economic, transport-energy and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The leaders of the two countries expressed hope that this visit will give a new impetus to the Kazakh-Turkmen cooperation in a wide range of areas. During the talks, the following documents were also signed: - Joint statement of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of Turkmenistan; - Agreement on strategic partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan; - Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan on the demarcation of the Kazakh-Turkmen state border; - Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Turkmenistan on the Kazakh-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission; - Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Turkmenistan on mutual protection of classified information; - Program of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan for 2017-2018; - Agreement between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan on cooperation in countering the legalization (laundering) of income, which proceed from crime sources and the financing of terrorism; - Agreement on the establishment of twinning relations between Astana and Ashgabat.
