Each region should have a well-developed master plan
Chairman of the Presidium of NCE RK "Atameken" Timur Kulibayev during the expanded meeting of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty region in Taldykorgan commented on the development of the tourist industry in the region.
The sphere of tourism is the most profitable type of business, believes Timur Kulibayev, however, there is a number of systemic problems that hinder a serious development of the industry.
"We need a well-developed cluster of the region, in which there will be all the information about tourist points, their stages and the timing of the project. For example, at the moment, there is all necessary infrastructure on Alakol Lake: the road has been put in operation, the Usharal airport has been launched, and it is already possible to develop tourism in the area. In addition, the region has unique mountain natural resources. But in order to realize them, it is necessary to determine the real possibilities, nothing will arise from scratch", - emphasized the Chairman of the Presidium.
As an example, the head of the National Council, gave a master plan for the town of Nurkent, which provides a very convenient infrastructure and communication.
"The prepared infrastructure will develop domestic tourism, these tools will work for the economy of the region. If you organize good service and food, a favorable route and facilities, then in the future millions of tourists will be drawn to the region", - believes the Chairman of the Presidium of NCE RK.
A master plan for the development of tourism was developed in 2014 in Almaty region. Together with the efforts of the business community and government agencies, the Roadmap for the development of tourism in the region and the Business Map of Almaty region were compiled. Since last year, the information resource www.almatyregion-tour.kz on the places of public catering have been launched.
