The introduction of AIC projects to the Map of Business Development Registry is important - Timur Kulibayev
Small-scale production loses to large companies
During the working visit to the Almaty region, the Chairman of the Presidium of NCE RK "Atameken" Timur Kulibayev got acquainted with the development of the agro-industrial complex in the region.
In the current year, measures are being taken in the region to develop sugar beet, irrigated agriculture. Cooperatives and service-procurement centers were established.
"Entrepreneurs should participate in cooperation not with their shares of land, but to create production cooperatives. I see positive examples of state support in the regions. Atameken, in turn, needs to show the villagers what this support looks like. In modern conditions, small-scale production loses to large companies. Production cooperatives are the path that we must develop and tell entrepreneurs. The association will increase the productivity and competitiveness of business", - said Timur Kulibayev.
22 agricultural cooperatives have been established and registered, of which 19 in crop production and 3 in livestock in the Almaty region with the support of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs. 105 small-scale farms were part of them.
The Chairman of the Presidium also noted that it is necessary to introduce agro-industrial projects in the Regional Map of Business Development.
"The proposed projects should not just be a business idea. The initiators should have a feasibility study for the project. In the Regional Map, we need to see where the facility will be located, what will be the infrastructure, what financing and support will be provided by local authorities to attract investors", - explained Timur Kulibayev.
The Chairman of the Presidium drew the attention of local executive bodies and the business community to the development of processing enterprises. An example was given by a project that this year is planned to be launched in the region for the first time - it is a complex for processing lamb meat in the Bereke industrial zone.
In 2017 in Almaty region, the amount of financing for the agro-industrial complex grew to 45.6 billion tenge, the investment volume was more than 46 billion tenge.
