Two largest tourism associations in Kazakhstan celebrate their birthdays
Kazakhstani Tourism Association is 18 years old
Today is the birthday of the first public organization in the field of tourism of Kazakhstan - Kazakhstani Tourism Association. It was founded on 19th of May 1999 with the support of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For 18 years Kazakhstan tourist association unites tourist, insurance companies and airlines, high schools and mass media. In addition, KTA includes the only association of hotels and restaurants in Kazakhstan KAGIR. In total, the KTA unites about 400 subjects of the tourist market.
The structure of the association includes an information center, a training center, an ecotourism center, and a certification center for the hospitality industry. All this provides an opportunity for meetings, various kinds of events, scientific research, educational programs, seminars, presentations, marketing research on tourism topics.
The association also has working sections for tour operators, travel agents, airlines, a training section and a section of guides.
In addition, the Kazakhstani Tourism Association issues an electronic newspaper "Vestnik KTA and Kagir", which has been an important information resource for the subjects of the tourist market for many years.
President of the Association Asanbaeva Rosa is a candidate of economic sciences; she has been working in tourism for more than 25 years. Standing at the origins of the creation of the KTA and KAGIR, since that time she heads the Association. R. Asanbayeva is a member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of NCE RK "Atameken", as well as adviser to the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC "Astana-EXPO-2017". He is an honorary worker of the tourist branch of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was awarded a jubilee medal for the 25th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since 2000, Rashida Shaikenova has been Director of the Association.
R. Shaykenova (since 1998 was the director of KAGiR). Since 2005 she is a member of the Expert Council for Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2011 she became a member of the National Council for the Training of Professional and Technical Personnel at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Excellent teacher of public education, she was also awarded an honorary badge "For merits in the development of tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The Metropolitan Tourism Association (MTA), formed on May 18, 2006 is celebrating its name day.
For 11 years, MAT unites representatives of the capital's tourist market. During this period a large number of good deeds have been done, many necessary measures have been taken.
The MAT has long been engaged in teaching, research, and implementation of projects in the field of tourism. At the same time, the Association does not stop there and opens new horizons every year.
In 2016, the Association together with ATAK and NCE held the 1st international Kazakhstani-Chinese Tourist Forum.
The "track record" includes social programs and charitable activities, international cooperation, the development of the "Great Silk Road", the support of young professionals and much more.
At present, the Association has already "outgrown" the capital status and has become an association of the country level.
In the success of the association, of course, the greatest merit of the permanent President of ALE Karabaeva Rysty Kalievna.
