Draft of the Code on customs regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan was prepared

The project takes into account the main problematic issues. The large-scale work on the drafting of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Customs Regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was completed, which was held on the site of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 31st of January to 23rd of June 2017 with broad involvement of the business community.

To resolve fundamental differences between state bodies and business circles, 3 meetings of the Working Group on the Improvement of the Customs Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the leadership of the Minister of National Economy of RK and 11 meetings under the leadership of the Vice Minister of the National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan were held. Representatives of JSC KEGOS, LLP Filip Morris Kazakhstan, North Caspian Operating Company NV, NC KTZH, KTZH - Cargo Transportation, LLP Deloitte TSF, LLP Eurasian Group, LLP PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax and Advisors, NC KazMunaiGaz, LLP Ernst and Young Kazakhstan, Kazakhstani Chamber of Commerce, LLP KazRosGaz, JSC Air Astana and others took an active part in the preparation of the document. In the process of the drafting of the national Customs Code NCE "Atameken" submitted about 500 amendments to the draft Code, of which the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan supported more than 60%. The main problematic issues on the draft national customs code were resolved within the framework of the meetings of the Working Group and subgroups.
