Kazakh-Polish Business Forum opened in Astana

The Heads of State of the two countries will take part in the Forum

On 6th of September Kazakh-Polish Business Forum with the participation of the two heads of state Nursultan Nazarbayev and Andrzej Duda was opened in Astana.

Let us recall that within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev to Poland, a business forum was held in Warsaw on 23rd of August 2016 with participation of the heads of states and economic delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of Polish companies. In this regard, on 6th of September 2017, during the visit of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda for Poland's week at EXPO-2017, this business forum was scheduled.

Presentation of the investment potential and economic achievements of modern Kazakhstan to a wide range of Polish entrepreneurs, identifying the most attractive and promising areas of bilateral cooperation will be the main subject of discussions during the meetings at the forum sites.

The forum will be attended by the heads of state, about 200 Polish entrepreneurs representing the fields of agriculture, energy, construction, construction materials, food, chemical, mining and metals, pharmaceuticals and others.

Let's note that Poland is one of the leading foreign economic partners of Kazakhstan in Central and Eastern Europe. The Kazakh-Polish trade turnover makes up over 80% of the total volume of trade between Poland and the countries of Central Asia. Currently, 24 international treaties have been concluded between Kazakhstan and Poland. The parties are considering drafts of 15 more documents, including those in the field of interregional cooperation, which are planned to be signed within the framework of the forthcoming business forum.
