"Atameken" offers to reduce tax reporting for business
The National Chamber is worried about the prospect of increasing the financial burden on SMEs from 2020
Within the framework of the meeting of the Government held on 12th of September, the Chairman of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" Ablay Myrzakhmetov told about the work on participation in the discussion of the draft of the new Tax Code. The majority of proposals of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Business were included in the document.
"As a result, the proposed project has become significantly "friendlier to business" in terms of maintaining special tax regimes. There were also big arguments to reduce the VAT threshold. We agreed and this norm is now preserved and positively received by small and micro-business", - Ablay Myrzakhmetov said.
At the same time, Atameken worries about the prospect of increasing the tax burden on business after 2020.
"In connection with the introduction of standards, which were postponed to 2020, for new pension contributions and norms for MSHI, the burden on business will grow by about 10%. In this regard, we ask you to discuss this issue within the framework of the working group in order to ease the pressure on business as a result of the social tax. We understand all the concerns about the budget and the position of the Ministry of Labor, but still we would like to discuss this issue again within the framework of the working group", - the speaker said.
As the Chairman of the Board of Atameken emphasized, despite the exclusion of the article on pseudo-entrepreneurship from the Criminal Code, businessmen still have questions about the further procedure for revealing the facts of unfair, "imaginary" transactions. In this regard, they ask for an understandable and accessible form of administration. Relevant proposals have already been developed by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
"Atameken" is alarmed by the regularity of reports, which entrepreneurs must provide.
"Small and medium-sized businesses, which apply a special tax regime, submit reports every six months. Due to the fact that MSHI and pension contributions are introduced, reports have to be submitted on monthly basis. However, not all have their own professional accountants, so we propose to keep for them the existing semi-annual form", - the Chairman of the Board emphasized.
Also, Ablay Myrzakhmetov proposed to combine the number of existing tax collections in order to simplify administration. In addition, transfer issues of tax collection from small and medium-sized businesses to the regional level. Such work, he said, would directly show how local executive bodies are working to improve the business climate on the ground.
