In his welcome speech, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs RK "Atameken" Nurzhan Altaev noted the importance of strengthening business relations between the two fraternal peoples, which are entering a new level of alliance, interdependence, mutual support and joint promotion of common interests.

"One of the main ideas of today's forum is the joint exit and promotion of our products in the largest global markets, including China and EAEU", - Nurzhan Altaev stressed. As the speaker noted, the unique geographical and climatic conditions of the countries will allow them to compete and constantly increase volumes in these areas. "Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, so to speak, should" monetize "the potential of relations and economies", - he said. Having added that this forum should become a generator of new ideas and a locomotive for the development of bilateral relations in the conquest of the markets of China and EAEU. "For the full participation of the modern world process, we must act as a united front, cooperate not only in interaction with EAEU and Chinese partners, but also at the global level. Central Asia lies in the heart of the continent. In all respects, we are a natural Eurasian hub", - Nurzhan Altaev added.

It should be noted that for January-July of 2017 the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has reached 1.055 billion USD (export - 662 million USD, import - 393.3 million USD). Now in Uzbekistan there are about 230 enterprises with the participation of Kazakhstani capital. In turn, there are more than 130 joint ventures in Kazakhstan.

The share of SKR in the export of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan is 30%. The main exported goods are flour, wheat, metal products, cement, potatoes, oil products, vegetable oils, transformers, etc. Imported vegetables and fruits, juices, fertilizers, textiles, cars, etc. The Speaker stressed that the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" is ready to cooperate and assist its Uzbek colleagues.

"More than 300 Kazakhstani businessmen arrived at the forum. During the meeting, 37 contracts worth more than 560 million dollars will be signed. We know that it is planned to strengthen the role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Uzbekistan. Reforms are being carried out. We happily exchange experience with Uzbek colleagues", - Nurzhan Altaev said.

"This year has been an unprecedentedly fruitful stage in relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which has not been since our countries gained independence. The trade turnover between our countries for the first time exceeded one billion dollars. Only for the first 7 months of this year it grew by 33.7% compared to the same period of the past. This shows that the economic interaction between our countries is growing, and has a clear prospect of further development. This indicator can be increased many times. Only a base for full and effective cooperation is needed", - the speaker concluded.
