Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic are in search of new ways of business partnership

The trade turnover between the two countries grew by more than 120%

On 12 of December 2017 in the city of Prague (Czech Republic) was held a Czech-Kazakh business forum with the participation of the Vice-Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Khairov and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Mr. Jiří Koliba.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Foreign Trade Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the CIS countries. More than 100 representatives of Czech and Kazakh business took part in the forum.

Within the framework of the event, the parties discussed the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan, the issues of industry, insurance and trade.

As Yerlan Khairov noted, favorable investment conditions have been created in Kazakhstan. Perspective branches of cooperation remain transit, engineering, energy, innovation and agriculture.

At the same time, Mr. Jiří Koliba, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, said that the trade between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic for 9 months of this year amounted to about 500 USD million and grew by 121%, which is a pretty good indicator.

In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed today between the Foreign Trade Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the CIS countries on the establishment of the Business Council between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic. It will allow to continue work on the implementation of existing commercial arrangements and establish new contacts for the development of promising areas.

"Kazakhstan is ready to assist in finding partners for Czech investors and entrepreneurs. We are interested in expanding international cooperation and are confident that together we can bring our business partnership to a new level", - said the Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan

As a result of the event, bilateral business meetings were held between the two countries.
