Atameken warns travel agencies about visiting procedures to South Korea
According to the information from The Committee of the tourism industry of the Ministry of culture and sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and from the Foreign Ministry RK, the national chamber of entrepreneurs “Atameken” wishes to inform entrepreneurs who deal with outbound tourism to the Republic of Korea the following message.
Considering established visa-free regime between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea (30 days), the number of citizens of Kazakhstan arriving to Korea searching for a job increases. Later these people stay in Korea having no legitimate reasons, violating migration legislation of another country. According to official information from South Korean migration service, the number of citizens of Kazakhstan, registered as illegal immigrants in September 2017 in South Korea was more than 6, 5 thousand of people while in June 2017 the number was 5, 9 thousand.
Korean side, in its turn, implements the procedure of return to regulate migratory flows of the citizens of Kazakhstan who arrives to Korea.
Therefore we ask all travel agencies to pay the attention of your clients to the above-mentioned situation, when they buy flight tickets and tourist vouchers to South Korea.
Moreover, tourists must properly answer all the questions asked by the airport staff concerning the purpose of stay, accommodation, duration of stay etc. when entering the Republic of Korea.
