TIMUR KULIBAYEV: AGRICULTURAL TRADE DIRECTLY FROM THE PRODUCERS
Timur Kulibayev suggested setting up trade in food products directly from the producers, eliminating intermediaries and lowering the price tag, starting with Astana.
"Atameken" together with akimat is ready to work out the issue of creating wholesale and retail centers in Akmola region, with direct output of products to the capital markets.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber during the meeting of the Regional Council of Entrepreneurs of Akmola region.
"Local producers have a target market - Astana. "Atameken" proposes to establish direct supplies from the producer to the consumer together with the akimat, to work out the issue of creating wholesale and retail centers in the region, where all agricultural products will be sorted and supplied to the capital market. Thus, we can help the producers of neighboring regions to sell food products directly, without intermediaries, which will reduce the prices of goods," - Timur Kulibayev said.
The head of the National Chamber proposes to solve the issue of creating wholesale and retail centers by attracting investors, primarily in the country.
"The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs is ready to help with financing. It could be development institutions or our, Kazakhstan investors. We can invite businessmen from other regions to join the implementation of projects in the territory of Akmola region. "Atameken" is ready to implement such work together with akimat," - Timur Kulibayev noted.
Development of the agro-industrial complex is one of the priority areas of the region. The Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Akmola region supported the creation of 93 agricultural cooperatives, including 6 dairy plants and 15 milk receiving stations.
Thanks to the Bastau project, more than 900 people have learned the basics of business, 260 of which have already started their business. Most of them are projects in the field of agriculture, the provision of services, and the production of building materials.
"The very idea of teaching the basics of business is very correct and found support from the Head of State. It is also important that loans are granted to Bastau graduates on favorable terms, at low interest. This year, twice more funds are allocated for microcrediting. In turn, Atameken will work not only on training, but also on project support. It will help participants to realize business projects as efficiently as possible," - Timur Kulibayev said.
The issue of training of personnel for enterprises was also raised. "Atameken" is sure, that in this matter, business should be interested and take an active part.
"The representatives of business should enter the commission for the distribution of state orders for educational institutions, with a view to form this order, taking into account the staffing needs of the region. I ask the akimat to work out this issue together with the Regional Chamber," - the Chairman of the Presidium of the "Atameken" NCE RK highlighted.
