KAZAKHSTAN IMPROVED POSITIONS IN THE WORLD BANK LPI RATING
According to the World Bank in 2018, Kazakhstan achieved 71st in the ranking in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), thereby improving the indicator of 2016 by 6 positions (77th place).
LPI is an international rating of the World Bank that measures the effectiveness of logistics services throughout the supply chain. The results are calculated on the basis of data from the global survey of international transport and logistics companies.
Studies on the LPI Index are conducted by the World Bank every two years and encourage countries to pay attention to bottlenecks in the transport and logistics process.
Improvements in the rating were promoted by the indicators for compliance with delivery terms - 50th place (improvement by 42 positions compared to the results of 2016), the efficiency of the customs bodies - 65th place (improvement by 21 positions compared to the results of 2016) and logistics competence - 90th place (improvement by 2 positions compared to the results of 2016).
