ATAMEKEN LAUNCHES A CALL-CENTER FOR CONSULTING ON VETERINARY QUESTIONS
In pilot mode, the project began working in the Aktobe region. The work of the Call-center is aimed at providing entrepreneurs, involved in breeding and livestock management, with point and operational advice on veterinary safety issues.
The call-center can give advice on the provision of primary veterinary care to animals, contacts of veterinary organizations of local executive bodies and the availability of necessary drugs in veterinary pharmacies of the Aktyubinsk region.
“The main task of the center is to help agricultural producers who do not always have the opportunity to get competent advice or hire a qualified veterinarian. Farmers are now concerned not only with the treatment of animals or the epizootic situation, but also with the importation of animals. For example, in this matter we could give recommendations on how to protect yourself in these situations, what to look for when concluding an agreement when purchasing and quarantining animals, and how to secure yourself when purchasing livestock,” - the coordinator of the Call-center at the NCE RK on veterinary issues Olzhas Ausabayev explained.
The project developers are confident that the work of the Call-center on veterinary safety issues will allow for the establishment of informational interaction between entrepreneurs engaged in animal husbandry and state veterinary organizations.
The Call-center is available to all residents of the Aktyubinsk region. Dialing the short number “1432” is free of charge from both mobile and landline phones.
“The expert group included existing practicing veterinarians of both the Aktyubinsk region and competent experts from all the Republic. For example, Gaysa Absatirov is Candidate of Veterinary Sciences, Professor; Alexander Suminov is an expert who provides expert services in the NCE on veterinary medicine. The start of the project in the Aktyubinsk region is motivated by the livestock breeding orientation of the region, as well as the great interest of agricultural producers participating in the Sybaga program," - Olzhas Ausabayev, coordinator of the Call-center at the NCE RK, told.
If the Call-center in the Aktyubinsk region is effective, it is planned to introduce such practice throughout the country.
