DOING BUSINESS: FROM 36 TO 28 PLACE - THE RESULT OF JOINT REFORMS OF THE GOVERNMENT AND BUSINESS COMMUNITY

This year, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" participated in the World Bank’s report along with the Members of the Government on the rating for the first time.

DoingBusiness rating is compiled by measuring cumulative indicators for 10 topics, each of which consists of several indicators and has an equivalent effect on the overall rating of a particular country.

According to the document, under the indicator “Protection of minority investors” Kazakhstan took the first place, according to the indicator “Enforcement of contracts” - 4th place, “Obtaining construction permits” - 35th place, “Registration of enterprises” - 36th place.

A year earlier, Kazakhstan took the 36th line in terms of business comfort.

This year, at a meeting at the World Bank on the DoingBusiness rating (Washington, DC), Kazakhstan was represented by a working group led by the Vice Minister of the National Economy of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin.
For the first time, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", represented by a member of the Board, Deputy Chairman of the Board, Yeldos Ramazanov, became a member of the working group from Kazakhstan.

The Kazakhstan delegation presented reforms to improve the business climate in Kazakhstan, carried out within the framework of the Law on the improvement of business regulation. In total, 148 amendments on 9 indicators of the “DoingBusiness” rating in 7 codes and 20 laws were presented.

All changes were made according to the consolidated opinion of the business community.

Add that New Zealand, Singapore and Denmark are in the top three DoingBusiness leaders. Russia ranked 31st, Belarus - 37th, Kyrgyzstan - 70th, Uzbekistan is on 76th place.
