Atameken emphasizes importance of preserving existing enterprises
Kazakhstan should focus on preserving existing enterprises rather than investment projects. Ablay Myrzakhmetov, Chairman of the Board of the Atameken NCE RK, expressed the opinion during the interview for the Atameken Business TV channel.
Among the measures of business support, proposed by Atameken, the government supported the preservation of the loan rate for all state programs at 6%, and revise the priorities of the Economy of Simple Things programme to support existing enterprises.
"We asked for a little postponement of new investment projects of the Economy of Simple Things programme. It's very important for us to preserve existing enterprises and jobs," Ablay Myrzametov said.
If earlier the financing under the Economy of Simple Things programme was divided in half, 50% was allocated to support existing enterprises, the rest half to investment projects, but in the current situation, there is a need to direct all funds to working capital.
"We suggest that all 600 billion be allocated to all other areas of the manufacturing sector to ensure 100% of current assets. The operating enterprises need cheap working capital," Ablay Myrzakhmetov said.
