Today at the site of the regional branch of "Atameken" in Astana, the first School of Mentoring in the Republic was opened.

To improve the level of productivity of the enterprise, to increase competitiveness there must be suitably qualified personnel. Today, no one is doing it. At places of production, students are confronted with a lack of knowledge of work processes. It is time to revive the mentoring institute as an important element of the personnel policy of enterprises, helping to solve a number of organizational tasks, including the adaptation and training of new employees, the reduction of staff turnover, and the development of potential. To solve the problem of the shortage of qualified mentors on-site, the National Chamber organized the School of Mentoring

The key problem of the formation of mentoring at Kazakhstan enterprises is the shortage of qualified mentors and the weak motivation of enterprises. The ability to teach is the core competence that mentors should develop.

"A person entering the production should know what to do, that is the main thing for the development of human capital. When a student comes to the production training, he is often assigned with routine work. The company always does not have clear plans for using their potential. This year, at the initiative of the Mazhilis deputies the concept of "mentor" appeared in the law. This is a qualified employee of the enterprise, who not only transfers technology and teaches the latest techniques and works with modern equipment, but also has special abilities in the multiplication of knowledge. In this regard, "Atameken" has developed a training program for mentors, as a result of which the employer gets a clear idea of the real work with students, learns methods of teaching the mechanisms of technical processes for the production of real goods and services as soon as possible," - the Deputy Director of Human Development Department of the NCE RK "Atameken" Lyazzat Shonayeva explained.

The two-day seminar includes three cycles, which are based on strengthening knowledge of the legal framework, theoretical and practical skills. During the training, mentors will be taught how to create a training model at the workplace, what is structural education planning, how to develop a plan, how to work with conflict situations.

"Professional and labor pedagogy. Certification of mentors" training course was organized for 25 employees of the enterprises of the food and service sector of Astana city; the following seminars will cover all developing industries of the region.

In her welcoming speech to the seminar participants, Nasymzhan Ospanova, the director of the department of technical and vocational education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that this event is a great achievement of interaction between business and the state bodies. Such a system of training mentors will ensure that students acquire skills that are more relevant in real work situations. This system operates in Germany, where the parents of a 14-year-old can contract with an enterprise where the child will receive practical experience.
