SAUAT MYNBAEV ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF ATAMEKEN BUREAU’S COMMITTEE

The Logistics and Transportation Committee set new tasks for the current year.

Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC Sauat Mynbayev has unanimously been elected chairman of the Logistics and Transportation Committee of the Bureau of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan. He was introduced at the joint final meeting of the Atameken Bureau’s Logistics and Transportation Committee and the annual meeting of the Kazlogistics, the Union of Kazakhstan Transport workers.

At the meeting, the Committee outlined the tasks for the current year. In particular, the Committee will continue to work on reducing administrative barriers and tax burden, developing competition in the transport industry and improving indicators of the Logistics Performance Index (LPI).

It is worth noting that last year was fruitful for the industry. Chairman of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Ablay Myrzakhmetov emphasized that this year the work should be focused on the industry issues.

“Next month we will examine in detail the controversial problems of the industry. Atameken and the Committee need to jointly resolve tax and tariff issues. In addition, the systemic problems on key regulatory and legal acts in the industries remain unresolved, Atameken and the Committee are going to deal with these issues in 2019,” Ablay Myrzakhmetov said.

During the meeting a number of Kazlogistics’ issues have been resolved: the election of Bureau members and chairman of the Kazlogistics, adoption of new members, approval of the budget, approval of the Kazlogistics’ plan of work for 2019.
