At the initiative of NCE RK "Atameken" businessmen signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of local content

The document was signed by the domestic manufacturers of products, enterprises and industry associations, as well as the Chamber itself. There was held a briefing at the end of the signing at the site of NCE RK.

"The agreement is based on the free will of the parties to purchase domestic goods, works and services from their compatriots. Buying raw materials and components from local manufacturers, we not only raise the proportion of local content, but also help to develop the cluster production, to create a stable market, so that Kazakhstan doesn’t depend on importers", - said the Deputy Chairman of NCE RK Nurzhan Altaev, speaking at a press briefing.

He encouraged producers to move from quantity to quality. "We produce for ourselves and we want to buy high-quality raw materials and components, as this factor directly affects the quality of the final finished product and further customer interest in the fruitful interaction and cooperation", - said the representative of NCE.

"There is an issue that we also plan to resolve by this agreement - it is when some products are still not produced in Kazakhstan, but in view of the fact that the customer companies need them, manufacturers will allocate workshops for production of this particular product. We will conduct such work on import substitution within the framework of this agreement", - added Altaev.

Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan Meyram Pshembaev, stressed the importance of the signed document, he noted that it creates conditions for the development of business and the economy as a whole. "First of all, tens, hundreds of items of spare parts and equipment, which are necessary for our economy, are produced in our country. However, many business owners do not even know each other, so these forums reveal these opportunities", - the said head of the Union.

Initiatives of NCE on development of Kazakh content are working. An illustrative example - company “Karlskrona”, which found suppliers among compatriots. "Our company produces pumping equipment, control pillars for manipulation of shut-off valves. For a long time we bought cable products from the Russian Federation. Now we are ready to buy it from Kazakhstani producers. We are ready for cooperation", - said the representative “Karlskrona” in Astana, Arman Rustembaev.

President of Kazakhstan Association of cable factories Rafael Urazbakhtin, in turn, guaranteed the quality of Kazakhstani cable products. "The association has five cable factories. We are ready to cooperate with organizations that use cable products, to conclude long-term contracts with them, to work on the planned deliveries. Our products are not worse than the imported analogues in quality ", - he said.

President of the Association of Light Industry Enterprises Lubov Khudova, speaking at a briefing, noted that Kazakhstan makes a wide range of high-quality clothes, sportswear, shoes and school uniforms. "I would like to encourage local companies to cooperate with domestic manufacturers. We are ready to supply products in different directions", - she said.

"The introduction of school uniforms is a powerful lever for the development of light industry. I would like to encourage not to buy school uniforms in Turkey, China or Kyrgazstan, purchase it at local producers. Our goods meets all health standards, international standards", - added Khudova.

General Director of LLP "Boehmer Valves" Andreas Kefer thanked the Chamber for its contribution to the development of local content. "Without the support of NCE, it would be hard. This is not just a word of thank you. We have a lot of questions, and we go to NCE with all the problems. It is very difficult to overestimate today's initiative", - said the businessman.

At the same time, he expressed a desire to cooperate with local producers, complaining that the company can’t boast of it. "We will soon sign a contract with" Gazprom ", but no Kazakhstani oil companies have an intention to cooperate with us. Of course, sometimes you wonder: Why should I go somewhere, if I have not established a colloboration with Kazakhstani enterprises, for which we have built the company ", - said the businessman.

The issue of an introduction of an industrial certificate in Kazakhstan was dicussed at the briefing. NCE continues the work on creation of this institute, which will contain the maximum amount of information about the goods, works, services. Last week NCE together with government agencies worked through the issue at a meeting led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, where the concept of an industrial certificate was fully endorsed. The Chamber has already begun to develop regulatory documentation for an early successful implementation of this mechanism. Industrial certificate will be issued by a principle of a "single window", where industrial expertise will be carried out by associations (unions), which obtain special (additional) accreditation at NCE RK.
