How to attract visitors from China to our country
Kazakhstan switched to the "struggle" for Chinese tourists
Recently the IV Russian-Chinese Tourism Forum was held in Moscow, it was organized by the Tourist Association "The World without Borders" with the support of the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation and the State Office on Tourism Issues of the PRC.
The parties assessed the prospects of cooperation of tourism business of Kazakhstan and China (including the signed ADS - agreements on the facilitation of groups of tourists of Chinese citizens to the Republic of Kazakhstan), Tourist Associations of Kazakhstan actively participated in the forum: Metropolitan Association of Tourism and the Association of Travel Agencies of Kazakhstan.
The memorandum on the establishment of the International Association "China Friendly” (International Association China Friendly) was signed with member states of EAEU within the frames of this event. The aim of this Association is to promote the development of outbound tourism in China with the overall vision and policies.
At present, China is the leading market in the world guide. In 2014, 107 million Chinese citizens went abroad for tourist purposes, in 2015, an increase of 20%, reaching 120 million Chinese tourists around the world. In the same year, Chinese tourists spent 160 billion US dollars for the trips.
Destinations around the world fight for the Chinese tourists. For example, Russia signed the ADS agreement with China in 2006, but they started to host Chinese tourists only in 2012, after the announcement of the year of the Chinese tourism in Russia. Today, Chinese people hold the first place in the dynamics of entry of foreign tourists to Russia. In 2015, 1,117,017 Chinese citizens visited Russia and spent more than 1 billion US dollars.
Russian colleagues from the Tourist Association "The World without Borders" annually since 2012 under the auspices of the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation and the Chinese State Office on Tourism of RPC hold the Russian - Chinese tourism forum in order to create and to promote a favorable tourist image of the country, promoting the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between countries, providing a dialogue between public authorities and the business community of Russia and China.
Experts of tourist associations believe that holding of such forums is a need in Kazakhstan, especially on the eve of the International specialized exhibition EXPO and the year of Chinese tourism in Kazakhstan in 2017.
Metropolitan Association of Tourism and Association of Travel Agents of Kazakhstan suggest to hold the Kazakh-Chinese Tourism Forum in September 2016 in Astana and Almaty, the main organizer of which could be the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken".
