At NCE were discussed possible points of collaboration between the Egyptian and Kazakh businessmen

A delegation of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the face of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kazakhstan Haytham Kamel Ibrahim Salah and the Commissioner General of EXPO 2017 Astana Mr. Ahmed Hassan Taha Boraye visited the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken". NCE at the meeting was represented by a member of the Management Board, Deputy Chairman Yuliya Yakupbaeva, representatives of the Department of Regional Development, industrial and investment policies, the development of small and medium business, agriculture and the food industry.

Opening the meeting, the moderator Yuliya Yakupbaeva informed the guests about the main areas of activities of NCE in the construction of a dialogue between the Government and business. The agenda of the meeting included issues of potential partnerships between Egyptian and Kazakh businessmen in Kazakhstan and Egypt, the possibility of b2b events and supply system for joint investments, as well as questions of tourism and the EXPO-2017.

Yu. Yakupbaeva said that NCE is implementing such a product as a regional map of business, which reflects the key investment projects of the region. "We are interested in investing in the tourism industry, medicine and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing industries, the agricultural sector", - she said.

Deputy Director of the Department of Industrial and Investment Policy of NCE RK Aselya Dangilova spoke about the investment projects implemented with the assistance of "Atameken": "In addition to the two priorities voiced by the heads of our states (production of medicines and supplies of grain) during the first half of 2016 started 30 new projects, it is planned to launch new projects in the field of chemical industry, plastic, etc.".

The Commissioner General of EXPO Astana - 2017, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Taha Boraye told on their activities within the preparation for the exhibition, noting high interest of the Egyptian businessmen to the event. "This platform will enable a huge number of businessmen from Egypt to come to the exhibition. We need to identify a range of priority issues to be discussed, the format of the meetings and a place where Egyptian businessmen will be able to put the goods, show catalogs, etc. ", - said Mr. Boraye. Guests also noted the need for the opening of direct flights between the two countries, which would be a factor that greatly facilitates the interaction of business of the two countries', including in the tourism sector.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to hold a forum and a number of b2b events at the beginning of 2017 prior to the beginning of the exhibition EXPO-2017.

"This meeting was necessary for us to determine further steps, to strengthen the business dialogue between the two countries", - said Yuliya Yakupbaeva, summing up the meeting.
