In the North-Kazakhstan region was held International Forum of Women of border areas

Beautiful and successful representatives of the beautiful half of humanity of the two countries - Kazakhstan and Russia gathered in Petropavlovsk, to discuss the "prospects of cross-border economic cooperation within the EAEU".

The forum was attended by over 500 people. These are representatives of state bodies, quasi-public sector and business circles of the two countries, representing Kurgan, Omsk, Tyumen regions of Russia, as well as Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North-Kazakhstan regions. The event was held within the framework of the republican action “25 useful things" of the National Commission for Women’s Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Well, who if not a woman, will think in advance about the future, because it's in the genes. At the forum women spoke about the formation of new and strengthening of existing relationships, the development of tourism at the border areas, the expansion of business relations between entrepreneurs from rural areas of the border in the format "from the village - the village".

Opening the forum, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for Women’s Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of RK Elena Tarasenko noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan for 25 years of independence has achieved significant results. "We believe that, who if not women today should unite, become more active and disclose new forms of cooperation and prospects. Currently, a common market is being created, which will work on the principles of equality, mutual benefit and the interests of all its participants. Global integration experience shows that joint efforts bring long-term economic benefits, increases the welfare of the people. And we believe that women today must unite, become more active and disclose new forms of areas of cooperation", - said Elena Tarasenko.

Women succeed not only in politics, but also in business. Out of 28 thousand operating small and medium-sized businesses, 50% are headed by women. They have created almost 26,000 jobs.

They spoke about success of women and prospects of realization of joint projects at the plenary session. As it was noted by the Deputy Minister of Economy of Omsk Region Anna Negoduyko, the representatives of the two countries have much to learn from each other. For example, representatives of Omsk businesswomen are ready to share the experience of women's entrepreneurship support. “The Republic of Kazakhstan is a strategic partner for us, and it plays a dominant role in the trade turnover with the Omsk region. Moreover, our trade turnover increases by 10% every year. Of course, from this point of view it is important to hold such events. Of course, it is very important for us, because we have not only economic, but also historical relations”, - said Anna Negoduyko.

After the plenary session, the participants of the forum took part in three panel sessions. They were dedicated to be the most up-to-date topics: "Development of tourism at border areas", “Mechanisms for expanding business relations between women of cross-border rural areas in the format "from the village – to the village”” and "Mutually beneficial cooperation of women of frontier territories of Kazakhstan and Russia in the context of effective satisfaction of the business needs".

 The representatives of the Council of Businesswomen of the Chamber of entrepreneurs of NKR took part in the work of one of the sessions. Leila Saidasheva noted that such events help to establish new contacts. "And on the other hand, there are a lot of interested people. Such sites allow not only to exchange contacts, but also to build an open dialogue for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. We already have a positive experience when such forums flow into long-term partnership. I am myself an entrepreneur and actively work with neighbors. This trend needs to be developed, it has huge potential", - shared the acting Chairman of the Council of Business Women of RCE of NKR Leila Saidasheva.

Comprehensive measures are undertaken in the field for the development of women's entrepreneurship: provision of advisory, educational, legal and other support. If in 2010 only one woman entrepreneur received state support, then in 2016 in the framework of the program "Roadmap of business-2020”, 261 projects were approved and 39 are implemented with the participation of women. These are projects in the field of passenger and freight transport, trade, food, furniture, construction and plastic materials and many others. The director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of NKR Turar Iskakov spoke about state support and priority directions of the state policy. Opening the panel session, as a moderator on the mutually beneficial cooperation, he pointed out that today, thanks to the support of the Government and the desire of women to be successful, the fair sex has long occupied its niche in areas that until now were traditionally male.

In addition, during the event, the guests visited the exhibition "Made in Northern Kazakhstan", where about 30 entrepreneurs presented their products.
