A New Chairman of the Council of Businesswomen was elected in Almaty region
Rimma Salykova, chairperson of the Regional Council of the Almaty Regional Office, became the head of the Council
Rimma Salykova is a well-known businessman and public figure of the region. Since December 2015 she was elected chairman of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty region, she is a member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the party "Nur Otan".
From 2011 to the present she heads the Association of Businesswomen of Almaty region. Under her leadership, the Regional Club of Women Politicians, the Center for the Social Adaptation of Women "Umit", regional affiliates of the Association, district and city Women's Leadership Schools have been established.
Today, Rimma Salykova is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLP Almaty Paint. The company is one of the leaders in the production of paint and varnish materials and road repair materials in the market of Kazakhstan.
At the position of the chairman of the Council of Businesswomen (CBW), Rimma Salykova replaced Mamila Musabekova, who headed the association since 30th of March 2015.
Last year, the regional CBW held more than 30 meetings, forums and seminars to discuss and solve problems of female entrepreneurship. In addition, the chairs of the regional CBW are included in all district and city councils of entrepreneurs, which makes it possible to participate really in the discussion and resolution of issues related to the problems of entrepreneurship.
Almaty region has 56,244 business entities, which are headed by women, which is more than 42% of the total number of enterprises.
