What success has the first petrochemical plant achieved
The first petrochemical plant built in our country during the years of independence is one of the successful breakthrough projects in Kazakhstan
What success has the enterprise managed to achieve over the years of its work, and what role is assigned to quality management? Marina Pegina, Deputy Director for Quality of LLP “Neftekhim LTD” - answered this and other questions.
- Marina Maratovna, tell us, how long does the enterprise exist and what kind of products are produced here?
First of all, I would like to note that LLP "Neftekhim LTD" is the first and only enterprise in Kazakhstan for the production of methyl tert-butyl ether, polypropylene, soft packaging.
The enterprise was launched on 17th of September 2009, when the plant was solemnly launched with the participation of the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev. The design capacity of the plant is 20,000 tons of methyl-t-butyl ether, 35,000 tons of propylene, 30,000 tons of polypropylene per year. Moreover, the company operates on the principle of closed production. The raw materials are oil gases obtained in the process of oil cracking by the Pavlodar petrochemical plant. That is, geographic proximity and technological connection of JSC "PNHP" as a supplier of main raw materials and LLP "Neftekhim LTD" as a plant for the production of methyl-t-butyl ether, propylene and polypropylene provides a complete production cycle and helps to minimize the cost of products.
- We all know that high quality products - is one of the indicators of the success of the enterprise. What work is being done in this direction?
- In September 2012, LLP Neftekhim LTD successfully passed a certification audit for compliance of the quality management system with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 and ST RK ISO 9001: 2009. The plant is designed and built using advanced technologies, equipment and automation of famous European, American and Japanese firms.
In 2013, the plant for production of polypropylene soft packaging by AD-STAR technology was launched. This workshop is equipped with the equipment of the Austrian company "Starlinger", which is the world leader in the field of equipment and technology of woven soft packaging.
- Since March 2015, the Company has taken a landmark on the application of the Kaizen concept in production, following the example of the Japanese company Toyota. The goal of the project is to organize the effective production of polypropylene soft packaging, expand the market share of these products in the domestic market of Kazakhstan and increase the export potential of the enterprise.
- In order to support the domestic manufacturer, a competition is held annually for the award of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Altyn Sapa" and the contest-exhibition "The Best Goods of Kazakhstan". How do you think what does participation in these competitions give business?
Such measures primarily contribute to improving the quality and competitiveness of Kazakhstani goods and services. Of particular pride is the fact that in 2013 our Company participated in the competition for the award of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Altyn Sapa" and became the owner of the highest award in the nomination "The Best Enterprise for Production Purposes" in the category "Entrepreneur of Large Entrepreneurship". I think that this is the highest indicator of the quality of our products.
In addition, in 2012 LLP "Neftekhim LTD" became the owner of the "Bronze" award "Paryz" in the nomination "The best social project of the year".
This year our enterprise will take part in the regional competition-exhibition "The Best Goods of Kazakhstan". Of course, every business entity should strive to introduce the best quality standards, since it is the quality that determines the success of the business.
