Deputy Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Tulemis Shotanov told reporters about business support services, which NCE provides. Thus, according to his words, "Atameken" started to provide non-financial support from 2014 with the component of service support for existing businesses - providing services and advice in the following areas: accounting and tax reporting; customs services; Quality Management Systems; legal services; marketing services; services in the field of information technology; state procurements; management. All services are provided free of charge.
"In 2016 we started to provide support with two directions - the projects "Business Connections" and "Elder Seniors”. The first tool is aimed at improving the competence of heads of SMEs. In the first phase an entrepreneur undergoes training in managerial competences, competences in the field of foreign economic relations, etc. During the second step, an entrepreneur has the opportunity to attend overseas training in Germany", - said Shotanov.
Component "Elder seniors" is aimed at attracting highly skilled foreign professionals with successful experience to advise the participants of the program on the introduction of new management techniques, technologies, equipment and training. "We want to sign a memorandum with the Canadian company “Seso”, which will send the Canadian experts to Kazakhstan. In 2016, 48 missions of foreign experts are planned to take place. Last year there were 32 missions, the experts came from the Netherlands", - he said.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Atameken" noted that the idea of the project "Elder seniors" lies in the fact that entrepreneurs invite foreign experts from the countries in which they plan to purchase equipment for its implementation and staff training. The State pays the costs for travel and labor. Entrepreneurs pay per diem (only 3-5 euros), arrange accommodation and meals. "We believe that this is a unique opportunity for local business in terms of introduction of new technologies", - he said.
Shotanov stated that 35174 entrepreneurs addressed for service support in 2015 and received 55,640 services. 49% of services were provided to entrepreneurs in rural areas. "In 2016, given the current economic situation, the service support for entrepreneurs is one of the key instruments of state support. Not all subjects of SMEs have a full time accountant, a lawyer or a public procurement specialist. Therefore, we are strengthening this work in service centers and centers for support of entrepreneurs. In regional centers, we attracted 379 specialists who can provide advice on accounting and legal issues ", - he added.
Kazakhstani citizens, who want to do business, but has not yet decided how, the representative of NCE advised to decide with their knowledge and skills. "I recommend you all to start with what you know the best. There are a lot of businesses, and each business has a different degree of returns. To start the business, which brings the greatest profit, is wrong. One must first think what he can bring to business. First of all, some knowledge - is the cornerstone. If you have the skills of sewing, you'd better open a clothes designing studio, if it is a greenhouse - work in this area. If you do not have the relevant knowledge and skills, it would be a waste of time and money ", - he said.
