Kazakhstan intends to supply lamb and beef to Israel

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov and Deputy Chairman of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" Nurzhan Altaev together with the Kazakh delegation visited the State of Israel. The main issues discussed during the meeting were attraction of foreign investments in agribusiness, achievement of mutually beneficial bilateral agreements . Negotiations were held with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the State of Israel, Knesset member of the Jewish House Party Uri Ariel and local companies on the possibility of supplying Kazakh lamb and beef, as well as chicken eggs, which, according to Askar Myrzahmetov, are in big demand in Israel and have high prices. It should be noted that Israel is one of the major exporters of fresh products and the world leader in agricultural technology. Every year, Israel imports 75,000 tons of beef, the demand is especially high for chilled meat. The next stage of joint arrangements will be the coordination of veterinary requirements and standards for this product. In addition, a Declaration of Intent was signed in order to establish a commercial demonstration farm in Kazakhstan. On its base, it is planned to demonstrate technologies in various areas of agriculture, reports the press service of the relevant department. Members of the delegation also visited the country's largest research institute "Volcani center", which specializes in new technologies in the field of agriculture. Joint research programs and training of young specialists were also discussed. To study the Israeli experience, the delegation will visit the largest agricultural cooperative "Granot" and the company for management and conservation of water resources. To attract investment and export of domestic products, it is planned to hold a meeting with representatives of Israeli agribusiness in the format of a "round table".
