Gastro City - a new training platform opened in Nur-Sultan

Gastronomic platform for representatives of the restaurant and hotel business opened in Nur Sultan.

The new facility represents a professional space for small and medium-sized businesses in the HoReCa segment, where they can find reliable and proven suppliers of goods and services, as well as improve the skills of their staff. Gastro City was opened by METRO Cash & Carry Kazakhstan in the METRO Shopping Centre in Nur-Sultan.

Representatives of restaurants, hotels, government agencies and the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the capital took part in the presentation of the gastro platform. General Director of METRO Cash & Carry Kazakhstan LLP Anton van Gorp noted that the search for reliable partners for business is one of the topical issues for enterprises in Kazakhstan and in the world.

"Realizing the mission of our company to be the best partner for business, we offer our professional clients the necessary range of quality goods and services, and ready-made solutions for their business. Passion for the business, love to gastronomy and constant search for inspiration – all this unites the representatives of HoReCa," Anton van Gorp said.

 Raushan Seitova, the founder of the RIM Restaurant School, noted that she was pleased to become one of the partners of Gastro City at the invitation of METRO.

"We have different courses, several directions concerning cuisine, service, restaurant management, cooking for both corporate and individual clients. We try to approach flexibly. There is also a school "Home Restaurant" to teach housewives the art of cooking and table serving. You'll be glad to see everyone," Seitova said.

It is worth noting that the RIM school has been working for 14 years and is engaged in professional training for HoReCa in accordance with the standards of the Swiss educational programme. The idea of its creation came to Raushan in the early 2000s, when the capital began to develop and there was a shortage of personnel able to work in a market economy and according to new standards. Raushan herself constantly raises the level of her knowledge, including on the basis of the business school of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Nur-Sultan. Businesswoman notes that the courses "Business Advisor", "Business Growth" and other types of training have helped her in business development.

In addition, the Gastro City site presents domestic suppliers of Kazbeef meat products, natural products, hydroponic and kitchen professional equipment, mobile points for street trading, domestic manufacturers of uniforms "Correct uniform". The list of partners will only be expanded.

"The Chamber of Entrepreneurs is organizing on the METRO platform, and now Gastro City is organizing training on various topics in the field of business. Last month, a master class on trade development was held for entrepreneurs studying at the course "Project Training with the Principle of Mentoring" and for shop owners at home. The training was conducted by the Operations Director of METRO Konstantin Makarenko. In addition, start-up entrepreneurs of the capital will be able to master new business niches together with such a major company as METRO. In general, we believe that the new gastro platform has great prospects for the consolidation and development of the niche business of Nur-Sultan," the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs  Almat Junusov said.
