The metropolitan company is recently at the market, but has already signed a contract for supply of its products to the objects of EXPO-2017

Production Manager of Akmola Elevator Plant Nurmanov Samat said that the company specializes in the production of elevators, escalators and moving walkways under the brand “AUXE”. The choice of this brand has been associated with high quality Chinese brand, as evidenced by their successful operation at the facilities of Shanghai International Exhibition EXPO 2010 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

"On the territory of Kazakhstan, there is no production of the kind. Akmola Lift plant produces passenger elevators with capacity from 400 kg to 1250 kg, designed for 15 people and freight elevators lifting capacity of 5,000 kg, as well as hospital and car elevators, moving walks. The price of our products is lower than for their foreign analogues, including due to the lack of the high cost of its transportation. For example, when buying a lift in neighboring China, its delivery will cost an average 6-7 thousand dollars. In Kazakhstan we transport by vehicles. And it is much cheaper", - said Samat Nurmanov.

The plant's management said that its capacities allow to produce up to 1 000 elevators and 250 escalators annually and to deliver the equipment to the customer within 1-2 months, as opposed to 4-6 months on average at the market. It is also important that the company has its own stock of spare parts, which makes it possible to supply them for 1-3 days in case of breakage of elevators and escalators.

"Currently, the level of localization of production is about 60% due to the production of cabins housing, supporting frame, counterweights, lift cargo, brackets and other parts, which are manufactured at the factory. The rest of the components, including the engine, electronics, we buy in Japan, Korea and China", - said the head of production.

So, for the production of counterweights we use exclusively Kazakhstani raw materials: leaves of metal, galvanized sheet, scale domain of "Arcelor Mittal", cement and river sand of Ust-Kamenogorsk cement plant, Pavlodar priming enamel.

In the production of escalators are also applied metal leaves of JSC "Arcelor Mittal" and Pavlodar paint.

It is planned to use marble for floor at lifts, and other hardware products.

The plant's products meet current safety standards. The elevators are equipped with an automatic braking system, which is triggered when the speed increases above the working.

According to Samat Nurmanov, the company is working individually on every order, as there are no identical houses, and, hence, the elevator shafts.

The plant carries out the subsequent service botyh warranty and contract. Warranty lifetime – is 2 years, however, life span of domestic lifts is on average 20 years.

Today the company employs 50 people, the staff will be expanded up to 80 people in the future.

"The plant is experiencing a shortage of qualified personnel. In Astana a couple of college trains specialists for servicing lifts and elevators. In this regard, some factory workers were sent to China to study and to master the foreign technology", - said the head of production.

The Expert of the Department of the manufacturing industry of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" Umirserik Erzhanov emphasizes that the main purpose of a unique enterprise – is import substitution and development of a new sub-sectors of the domestic engineering industry.

"Factory workers see LRT construction in Astana as one of the most promising future projects. They believe that local elevators are not worse than their foreign analogues and even on the contrary, they are designed to work in our climate", - said Umirserik Erzhanov.

In addition to the above benefits, elevators and escalators meet the main theme of EXPO-2017 - "Energy of the Future". They are equipped with energy-saving regenerative drive ReGen, which produces energy as a generator and returns the energy to the network, which saves 40% of energy consumption and more than 100 thousand tenge for one lift per year.
